Macedon Ranges, located to the west of Melbourne, is a beautiful mountainous area with abundant natural resources and scenic attractions. The pleasant autumn climate of Macedon Ranges, coupled with the changing colors of the leaves, makes it an ideal season for travel and exploration.

The autumn festival is held on weekends and public holidays from April 1st to 30th each year. A free shuttle bus near Macedon Centennial Park (Honour Avenue) takes visitors to the gardens listed below. Due to limited parking, it is recommended to use the shuttle bus service.

The annual Macedon Ranges Autumn Festival is held in April each year (website: Macedon Ranges Autumn Festival). Three gardens are open to the public in autumn: Forest Glade Gardens, Duneira Estate, and Viewfield Estate.

Macedon Honour Avenue is an important heritage monument commemorating World War II. Red oak trees are planted on both sides of the road to pay tribute to the fallen soldiers.

I particularly enjoy autumn among the four seasons, with its crisp temperatures and colorful leaves providing a beautiful contrast, allowing me to immerse myself in nature and enjoy it with great care.

Firstly, introducing the Forest Glade.

It is known as one of Australia's most beautiful private gardens and is particularly spectacular in the autumn. The Forest Glade Gardens are located on the south side of the Macedon Mountains and cover an area of 5.6 hectares. The garden landscape has been carefully arranged and designed, divided into four different themes:

• English region: with huge exotic trees and a lot of color
• Japanese region: with a Japanese garden design, torii gates, and Japanese-style bonsai gardens
• Forest area: with a large number of beautiful shade plants
• Fern Gully: a cool gorge area

In addition to the spectacular autumn scenery, the garden also displays fountains and sculptures collected from around the world.

As winter approaches, the length of daylight becomes shorter, and the nights become cooler. Before staying indoors and avoiding the cold winter, take the opportunity to enjoy the magnificent beauty of nature, and visit Macedon to appreciate the colorful autumn scenery that is like a rainbow.
